Tomorrow we will visit the Microsoft Event 'The New World of Work: finding & sharing information' (Het Nieuwe Werken: informatie vinden & delen).

A new way of working is required in the upcoming creative society. Finding the right information gets more complex with the ever increasing amount of information and sharing the right information becomes more important. You should not only share it with colleagues, but maybe also with the crowd and your competitors.

Most information is already freely available on the internet and sharing the processed information with competitors enables open innovation and may even give you more attention. What Glen Leonhard says in the context of media also counts for other industries: "attention is the new currency". So what might seem counter-intuitive at first, can lead to an increase in sales.

To be more productive requires new working environments, processes and tools to be able to find, process and share information faster and easier.

We are very curious to what Microsoft can offer to the New World of Work, especially in the field of mobile technology. We already know they practice what they preach. They have a brand new building in Amsterdam that completely supports the new way of working.
