Introduction
Mobile applications never stand alone and are exchanging information with other mobile or server applications via the internet. For that reason we are not only experts on mobile platforms, but also have a thorough understanding of web standards and server side applications.
What follows is a brief overview of the technologies we use.
Mobile Platforms
There is a multitude of mobile platforms. And new platforms are still being developed.
iPhone
The iPhone is the mobile platform from Apple. We are your partner for developing iPhone solutions. We develop your solution with the tools provided by Apple. We are experts in Objective-C (the programming language supported by Apple for the iPhone). When needed we integrate the app with server side solutions or can provide the server side solution.
Android
Google's answer to the iPhone is the Android platform. It is an open source platform that any hardware vendor can use on it's mobile devices. We develop your mobile Android solution using the tools provided by Google and have a thorough understanding of the Java based Android SDK. When needed we integrate the app with server side solutions or can provide the serverside solution.
Windows Mobile
Microsoft's alternative for the iPhone and Android platforms is Windows Mobile. The Windows Mobile devices are more in use within enterprises. We develop your Windows Mobile app using the latest .NET Compact Framework version that runs on your devices. When needed we integrate the app with server side solutions or can provide the server side solution.
Web Standards
As we believe in interoperability, all the software we develop adheres to the latest applicable standards. Frequently applied standards in our solutions include XML, XSLT, JSON, RSS, HTML, CSS.
Application Frameworks
We are always able to integrate with your existing application frameworks, but when needed, we can also use our preferred frameworks. One example of an application framework is Drupal.
Drupal
Although Drupal is well known as a Content Management System (CMS), we have good experience with Drupal as application framework because of it's flexible module structure and it's open source with a well organized development community.
